Never Order Our Coffee Again!

Never Order Our Coffee Again!

Never order our coffee again? Sounds crazy coming from a coffee company, but it's true. With our new subscription available, you can order coffee once and we will handle everything else from there.

Over the past few months we have had several customers ask about a subscription service. Ordering coffee was a headache and wasn't always convenient. Why go online, browse, add items to a cart and then enter payment information every time you wanted or needed to order more coffee? Especially when you could just pick it up at the grocery store.

That's where our new subscription comes in. First of all, we believe our coffee, which is locally roasted, is fresher and higher quality than the mass produced coffee available on the shelves at your local grocery store. So we wanted to make that more readily and easily available to you.

Second is the price. We know specialty coffee costs more than a large manufacturer, so we implemented savings through the subscription. And finally, we wanted to make ordering, or not ordering, more convenient for you.

So let's look at the benefits of the new Black Warrior Coffee subscription:

1. Fresh, Locally Roasted Coffee

We can't say it enough, but locally roasted coffee means you are getting fresher, higher quality coffee that is not produced in large quantities. Check out our recent blog on more perks of locally roasted coffee. Large chains and coffee brands roast coffee in batches so large, they can't intimately or accurately control the roast, thus burning the coffee.

In fact, the shine that you see on most coffee beans is not an oil added to the outside. That occurs from roasting beans too long and the shine you see is from the carbon dioxide being released. The longer you roast, the more carbon dioxide is released leaving the beans with a shine or gloss. This is why specialty or small-batch coffees look dry.

Large manufacturers also produce coffee that is meant to sit on store shelves for months. Coffee has a period of time following the roast called a degassing phase. This is when the coffee beans release the carbon dioxide. Many coffee experts claim coffee tastes best a few days after the roast after the coffee has degassed. Anytime after approximately two weeks the coffee begins to get stale. This process happens faster in ground coffee as the carbon dioxide is released quicker.

Subscribing to a locally roasted coffee ensures you are getting fresh, quality coffee every two weeks or four weeks, depending on your subscription.

2. Price and Inventory

Specialty coffees, because they are higher quality, typically cost more than the mass produced brands. It's the old "you get what you pay for" adage in practice. You really do get what you pay for. However, with our new subscription, 10% will be knocked off the price of every bag.

That means you can now have specialty coffee at a price comparable to that which you may pay when you purchase coffee at a grocery store. Who says you can't have your coffee and drink it too? That's how the saying goes, right?

3. Convenience

With the new Black Warrior Coffee subscription, you can order coffee once and expect it to be shipped to you or available for pickup exactly when you need it and expect it. No more waiting for roasting, packaging and delivery. Now we will have your order in our que and can roast as close to your delivery date as possible. In some cases it may be roasted the same day. Either way, you order once and you're done. The rest is on us.

Thank you for sharing and voicing your ideas and desires for a subscription. This is a community, after all, and we truly value your input. It is our hope that this subscription will allow Black Warrior Coffee to be your every day coffee, your morning commute coffee, your special occasion coffee, however and whenever you drink coffee. More importantly, we hope this gives you quality and taste, a great value and the convenience and comfort knowing that you are getting your coffee fresh and when you need it, without having to lift another finger.

Thank you again for supporting us! We are a small business looking to make a difference and support our community. Your support allows us to do that. Please consider helping us spread the word and sharing this blog with your family and friends or anyone you know who drinks coffee. We can't do this without you, and we are forever grateful for you, our BWCC community.

Thank you and Cheers!
Doug
